Restoration works are happening this week on the historic Cooktown Post Office façade, with the building set to return to its former glory!
To minimise disruption to Australia Post customers and local businesses, approved night works will be carried out from 5.30pm to 10.00pm.
The restoration team is also using a high-tech dust capture and extraction system, helping keep dust and debris under control while the façade is carefully restored.
It’s exciting to see this much-loved Cooktown landmark being brought back to life and looking after an important piece of our town’s heritage. ❤️
